What you need to know

  1. The Manager is responsible for the safety of all those using it during the team’s practice time. Once a team has completed their assigned practice time they will yield to the next team. Upon yielding, the responsibility for safety is passed on to the next Manager. If no Manager is present to assume responsibility at the conclusion of a team’s practice, the last Manager will return the pitching machine back to the equipment storage room along with the power cord(s).
  2. If no pitching machine is in use, two players may use a cage for pitching practice as long as the catcher is wearing a catcher’s mask.
  3. Whenever a pitching machine is in use:
    1. There will be a limit of one player and one adult (defined as over 21 years of age) in the cage.
    2. The batter must wear a batting helmet with face-mask.
    3. Before placing a ball into the pitching machine, the adult will hold the ball up to obtain eye contact with the batter. It is strongly recommended that the player signify readiness by saying “Ready” in a loud voice.
  4. Players will enter and exit only the batting cage through the proper location. When not in a cage, all players should remain outside and away from the batting cage.

Thank you for your help in making this a safe facility for the players. Failure to comply with any of the above rules will result in a warning from the appropriate Commissioner. A second offense will result in forfeiture of privileges for the remainder of the season.

Anybody caught hanging or climbing on the netting for any reason will be suspended for 1 (one) game. A second offense will result in a suspension for the remainder of the season, post season and tournament play. Anybody not affiliated with the league caught hanging, climbing or doing anything destructive to the batting cages will be escorted from the property and not allowed to return.
